StealingJust watching a programme on some woman who stole £1000's from the school that she was the headmistress of!!
I can't understand how anyone could steal money from someone else, it's beyond belief!!!!
What are your thoughts on this guys?

This is something i've been looking up myself, back in the 17th to 19th centuries, people would of hanged for this.
If you stole a cotton hankey it was 2 years prison, but a silk one and you hanged for it.

Sounds good to me!!! Shame they don't have more punishment for people who steal stuff these days, it might put them off a bit!

Been looking up old records again, if you stole one loaf of bread, then it was 6 months in prison and sometimes whipped as well.
Prison was nothing like it is now, your family had to bring your food in to you or you did not eat.
This is why so many people died in prison as they stole to eat in the first place.

Maybe they should bring back the old way then!!!!
