Are you a healer?I would not call myself a healer, but I am learning to give healing and also learning to work with colours in healing.

are you a healeri do not consider myself to be a healer , more of a helper ..... i help to pass on comfort to those in need / in pain .... even as a kid i was always drawn to people who were ill and wanting to help .... i feel that whatever it is that i do i was meant to do as i have had absolutely no training , it has just come through naturally , i think of it as a gift to be shared with those in need .... though i have learned that you must protect yourself ...or you risk taking on the other persons symptoms of
illness xxxx k

Your very talented LM1, believe me, you helped me loads at Canewdon when I had all that trouble. Although the bugger wouldn't leave, it made me feel much calmer.
Should you ask for protection before you start healing do you think?

protectionmost definately ask for protection , when i did massage class we were tought to surround ouselves in white light , b4 even placing a hand on the other person , also call upon your protector guide/s to stop you picking up the other persons symptoms ...kev xx

Thanks hun, I work with angelsand saints when I am healing, but have not thought to ask for protection first.

I have been told on a number of occasions that i am a natural healer but i don't bother with it .
I think because it does not ntaurally draw me i don't do it. When hubby hurt his back a while a go i did some healing on it for him as he asked me too and he siad he felt better and was mobile the next day and was able to retyrn to work. Docs had said couple of weeks. Yet even this wasn't enough to spark a major inteset major at some point in the future who knows ? I just feel spirit want me to do other things first

I find that people complicate the act of healing, if the healing energy is intelegent then why direct it or tell it what to do? I also find that the only protection needed is your intent, if thats good thier is never a problem. As far as taking on other peoples simptoms this i call Martyrdom, some healers do it and think its clever, some mediums do this as well. There is no need to do this and it is not helpful to the healer or patient, it is much easier to just ask what the problem is. If you just put out the thought as you work that you do not want your body to respond in this way it doesnt. End of problem!
I do think the main thing in healing is to learn total detachment from results, the patient or directing the healing in any way. Then the energy doesnt have to fight with our own egos and just flows to where its needed for what ever reason.

I have worked as a healer (i do hate the term healer as its not me doing it and a cure isnt guaranteed) for about 16yrs. My lucky break is i have worked closely with a man called Tareth (Geoff Boltwood) and he has shared his knowledge and energy with me which has been amazing. This guy doesnt just talk the talk he walks the walk, he has proven to me, not with theorys but by physical experience that reality is not what we think.

I havent worked that one out yet myself! I sometimes tell people i work with mirrors when i am on holiday otherwise you get non stop requests for healing. Which isnt really telling porkies cos i believe that healing often reflects back to a patient what they need to deal with.

If I'm talking about spirit with those who understand, I often say that I am learning healing, but work with the angels and they send it through me to where it needs to be.
If I'm talking to those who don't understand, I don't even mention it cause I don't know enough about it yet to answer their questions....you know what people can be like sometimes, they love to know about this stuff.

I think we are all learning continueously and couldnt really comprehend what is actually happening with the human mind. I think we will only fully understand once we become multidimensional. And we see the bigger picture.
